Psychology
The psychologists are available to provide individual, small group as well as class therapy. Parental guidance is also offered.
Assessments are conducted at the request of parents or teachers to determine the intellectual and/or emotional progress of the learners. Career guidance and counseling is also available to learners from the secondary phase.
Therapy is focused on:
- Processing of traumatic events
- Positive expression of emotions
- Development of a more adequate self-concept
- Family and peer relationships
- Socially unacceptable behavior
- Personal safety
- Recreational therapy
Sielkunde
Die sielkundiges bied individuele terapie, kleingroepterapie en klasgroepterapie, individuele toetsings, ouerleiding en terugvoering asook eksterne evaluasies.
Assessering word op versoek van ouers of onderwysers gedoen om intelektueele en/of emosionele vordering van leerders te bepaal. Beroepsvoorligting is ook beskikbaar vir leerders in die hoërskool fase.
Terapie is veral gerig op:
- Verwerking van traumatiese gebeure
- Positiewe uitlewing van emosies
- Ontwikkeling van ‘n meer toereikende selfkonsep
- Gesins- en portuurrelasies
- Sosiaal onaanvaarbare gedrag
- Persoonlike veiligheid
- Ontspanningsterapie
Remedial Teaching
Computer-supported training takes place once a week with the emphasis on reading, spelling and mathematics.
Remediërende Onderwys
Rekenaarondersteunende onderrig vind pleas een keer per week. Lees, spelling en wiskunde geniet hier aandag.
Speech Therapy
This forms an integral part of every learner’s school curriculum in Gr. 1 to 6. The learners receive therapy in groups as well as in the class situation. Therapy is aimed at the improvement of their auditory perceptual skills, receptive- and expressive language abilities. Homework is given on a regular basis and we need your co-operation in this regard.
Spraakterapie
Dit vorm ‘n integrale deel van elks leerder in Gr. 1 tot 6 se skoolopleiding. Die leerders kry terapie in groepe asook in klasverband. Terapie word gerig op die verbetering van hul ouditief-perseptuele vaardighede, reseptiewe en ekspressiewe taalvermoëns. Huiswerk word op ‘n gereelde basis gegee en ons versoek u samewerking in hierdie verband.
Occupational Therapy
Learners from Gr. 1 to 3 who are candidates for Occupational Therapy will receive therapy in group and class context. Therapy is aimed at the improvement of their visual perceptual abilities as well as motor abilities. As parents your full support is absolutely necessary to always give your co-operation regarding the homework to ensure optimum progress for your child.
Arbeidterapie
Leerders vanaf Gr. 1 tot 3 wet Arbeidterapie uitvalle toon, ontvang weekliks terapie in groeps- en klasverband. Terapie is gerig op die verbetering van sowel hul visueel-perseptuele vermoës as motoriese vaardigheid. Volle samewerking van die ouers met huiswerk is noodsaaklik vir optimale vordering van die leerder.
